Next to the Keelung River, Dajia riverside park offers an expansive green space to relax, especially on weekends, and many recreational activities. There are several covered play areas so kids can play in the shade, and there’s often a nice breeze coming off the river.

Things to do with kids:

  • Play with other kids under the large shade covering.

  • Families can easily rent bikes, and go for a ride along the river...bikes with kid seating, bikes with training wheels, tricycles, and even balance bikes are all available.

  • Or, try pedaling a multi-person bike!

  • On holidays and weekends, rent drivable cars for toddlers. (NT$200 for 30m, NT$350 for an hour).

  • Splash around the nearby water sprinkler area. Water is turned on 3PM - 6PM Sat-Sun, in June and Sep, and everyday during July and August.

  • Play at the playground (near the sprinklers.)

  • Build a sand castle in the playground’s huge sand pit.

  • Check out the giant fountain.

  • Watch airplanes fly overhead from the nearby Songshan airport.

  • Grab a snack from one of the restaurants next to the bike rental area. ​
