Taipei Children's Amusement Park - A Toddler in Taipei - Travel in Taiwan with Kids

A Children's Amusement Park

Completed in 2014, the Shilin Taipei Children’s Amusement Park is a replacement for the old Taipei Children’s Amusement Park located in Yuanshan. The admission price is low, only NT$30 for adults and kids under 6 are free, but visitors pay for each ride, about NT$20-30 per person. Children under 100cm can only ride the Ocean Carousel, Ferris wheel, and Monorail. Children between 100cm - 120cm can in addition ride the Spinning Tea Cups, Telecombat, Wave Swinger, and Crazy Bus, but with adult supervision. Between 120 - 130cm kids can also ride the Spinning Chairs. Once kids reach 140cm they can ride all the rides.

For young kids too small for most of the rides, the park also includes an outdoor playground with sandpit, and two indoor play centers. There's also Coin operated game machines, the Wonder Ocean exhibit that uses AR and VR technology, remote controlled boats, electric rideable cars, bumper boats, a 3 story slide, rideable robots, an earthquake experience house, and some mini excavators kids can get inside and use to dig gravel.

After visiting the children's amusement park, consider visiting the other fun child-friendly activities nearby. There's the Science Education Center next door, which includes a basement playcenter. Across the street from the Science Museum is the science-themed Meilun Park, and the Taipei Astronomy Museum.
