Large Park in Zhongshan District
One of the main sites for the Taipei International Flora Exposition in 2011, the Taipei Expo park is a spacious landscape park with many kid-friendly activities nearby. Easily accessible from the metro, and with many shady pavilions, the site serves as an excellent meeting place for playgroups. There is a free government run play center just a few minutes walk from the MRT, as well as a shady outside area for kids to play, and the Maji Maji Square shopping and food area. Walking East, visitors can take an overpass across the street to the Fine Arts Park area, which is another pleasant area to stroll around and provides access to the Fine Arts Museum. The museum offers free interactive child-themed exhibits in the basement, and also in the basement is a cafe that serves child friendly meals in plastic car and plane dishes. Further East is the Xinsheng park area, which includes gardens and stroller-friendly walkways, and is across the street from the Lin An Tai Ancestral House.
