A Scenic Area with Swan Boats in New Taipei City
A scenic area easily reachable by MRT, Bitan offers pretty views of a nearby river, forest, and mountain. There’s many restaurants located next to the river, and the area is particularly popular to visit at evening time and on the weekends. Swan paddle boats are available for rent, and a popular activity is walking across a wooden suspension bridge. During firefly season, these bugs can be spotted along the Bitan mountain hiking trails. Bikes with kid seats can be rented along the riverfront for those wanting to go for a bike ride.
