A Park in Ximending Known for Graffiti
A 10 minute walk from Ximen MRT station is Taipei Cinema Park. The area is known for graffiti, skateboarding, and being a popular spot for Taipei’s youth. The area has the remains of some old factories, and has a gritty vibe, but is completely safe and fun to explore. The murals on the wall are very colorful, and it's an interesting place to people watch! Also, every few weeks a second-hand market is held at the park. Walk around and look at the graffiti on display.
Look for cool metal work sculptures, such as Godzilla, randomly on display.
Watch skateboarders.
Climb onto the throne style chairs and people watch.
Walk (or run) up the black metal ramp, and view the park from above.
Visit the "cinemarket", which is a market that takes place in the park every few weeks.
Grab a snack from the restaurant in the corner of the park.
