A Pool at Youth Park in Wanhua District
Looking for something to do on a hot summer day in Taipei? The Youth Park swimming pool has a pretty nice outdoor pool area for kids.
The children’s outdoor area consists of a 25M teaching pool, with a 1.2M depth and a shade covering. Inflatable arm bands and kick boards are allowed, but no big inflatables. Behind this pool is also a dedicated diving pool (openJuly and August) with both a high and low diving board. The next kid’s pool is a .9M deep irregular shaped pool (with ramp) that allows all sorts of inflatables and water toys (but no snorkels). Some big yellow swim rings, and blue mats kids can float on, are provided by the pool. This pool also has a shade covering, making it a nice place to relax on a hot sunny day. During July and August a big water slide and a twisty water slide empty into this kid's pool. The final pool is a circular splash pool that’s quite shallow and good for babies and younger kids. There’s an interesting looking dome over head that provides some covering, but not as much as the shade coverings on the other pool.
Inside the sport's complex, near the end of a 50M long adult lap pool, is the indoor children’s pool. The pool has a slide, and a few water toys, including ball pit balls. On the other end of the 50M pool are some small hot and cold water pools. The Wanhua parent-child play center actually overlooks the inside pool, and the pool has very large windows that let in natural light.
Also available onsite is a place to buy snacks and drinks, and a swim store where you can buy suits and small water toys.
