A Popular Public Swimming Pool
The main pool at the Taipei Water Park can be pretty chaotic during the summer … crowded and noisy, but filled with lots of kids and families smiling, laughing, and enjoying themselves. The large pool has a colorful playset with slides, as well as various water spouts and sprinklers. Inflatables are allowed in the pool, but not water guns. Next to the main pool is a building with changing rooms/showers/lockers, a snack stand, and a store that sells swimsuits and water toys.
On the other side of the building (and open all year) is a shallow pool for babies and young kids. The pool gets partial shade from some nearby trees.
Other water themed activities inside the water park include the Museum of Drinking Water, a hiking path that leads to a reservoir, a sprinkler play area, and a pipe sculpture area. During December, there is usually a lot of red poinsettias on display.
