Taipei's First Children's Museum
While it's a children's museum in name, it's a play center at heart. This 3 story building in Da'an district is filled with kid-friendly activities to encourage kids to learn while having fun.

Make paper rockets, and then see how far they can fly them using a special air jet machine.
Visit a food play area that includes a little blue veggie truck kids can climb in, a market area to buy play food, and a fancy kitchen area for little chefs to cook.
Put on a helmet and rock climb on climbing walls, and adventurous kids can climb inside a Taipei 101 looking building that has step levels for kids to climb up as parents look on from monitors on the outside.
Pretend to camp at a play campsite with fire, paddle a kayak, and wait your turn for the zip line.
Play in the ball wall area, where kids can take little red balls and push them into mechanical contraptions on a wall and then watch the ball travel through various pipes and obstacles.
First Floor:
Buy tickets on the first floor, there’s also lockers, nursing room, and a small eating area where drinks and some small packaged snacks can be purchased.
Visit the under 3 area, which includes some building blocks, a reading area, an air vent play area where scarves can be sent flying through the vents, and some other small age appropriate toys.
Second Floor:
Play with bubbles! After putting on smock and goggles, kids can use a big metal bubble ring to make big bubbles, there’s also a hose that automatically creates bubbles, and even a place where kids can stand on a platform and pull a rope to make bubbles appear around them.
Get creative in the craft area. There’s painting easels, crayons for painting on the museum’s glass windows, and tables where kids can make multi-media paintings.
Play at a small ’Thomas the Train’ train table near the craft area.
Participate in a daily singing/dance/ or story time activity that takes place at a designated time in a multi-purpose room near the craft area.

Ticket price is NT$300 for under 3, NT$800 for 3-16, and NT$200 for adults, and free for under 6 months.
