A Free Play Center in Songshan District

With the goal of encouraging play and bonding between parents and children, Taipei City government established a parent-child play center in every Taipei district. All the centers are free, and designed to be warm and friendly environments. The centers are for children 0-6 and their care takers, and include special under 2 only areas with age appropriate toys.

The Songshan center has recently been renovated, and includes some fun new toys and activities for children to explore. Some favorites include a spider rope climbing area, a large crane that can pick things up, and a flower garden.

There is a morning play session from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, and an afternoon play session from 2 PM to 5 PM.

  • Explore the variety of learning toys available at the center.

  • Climb and play on padded mats.

  • Have fun with the regularly changing play items provided by the play center.

  • Find some good books to look at in the reading area.

  • Babies can crawl around the under 2 area.​
