A Free Play Center in Wenshan District

With the goal of encouraging play and bonding between parents and children, Taipei City government established a parent-child play center in every Taipei district. All the centers are free, and designed to be warm and friendly environments. The centers are for children 0-6 and their care takers, and include special under 2 only areas with age appropriate toys.

Like all of the district play centers, the activities and themes regularly change at Wenshan District Play Center, but as of Feb 2018 there’s a tea planting and harvesting area, as well as a section setup as a zoo with a Panda house with stuffed animals, a nocturnal animal area with learning toys, and even a pretend admission area. Other activities include a train table, bounce castle, push cars, kitchen sets, a separate baby area, and other various educational items. There’s also a fun arts and crafts area, with big drawing board kids can write on, and nearby is a reading area.

There is a morning play session from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, and an after play session from 2 PM to 5 PM. The weekend play sessions are 9:30 AM to 11 AM, 1 PM to 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM to 5 PM.
